What certifications do you have?
We hold the Lenzing TENCEL™ licence to prove we are using only fully certified Tencel fabric made by Lenzing.
Lenzing have been awared triple “A” rating by the Carbon Disclosure Project. Only 14 out of 13,000 companies worldwide have received this level of environmental award.
Our factory in Porto also hold Oeko-Tex, GOTS, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, GRS, and Lenzing certifications, as well as being awarded the Premio Cinco Estrelas for sustainability.
What makes TENCEL™ Lyocell sustainable?
TENCEL™ Lyocell is made from fast-growing eucalyptus from FSC and PEFC certified forests, where the wood is harvested sustainably ensuring a long and healthy future for the forests. The pulp is processed into yarn at Lenzing production plants which are run exclusively on renewable energy. A closed-loop process is used so that any substances in production are re-used indefinitely leaving no dirty waste water.
We also only use 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell, as single-fibre fabrics are easier to recycle at end-of-life than blended fibres.
TENCEL™ Lyocell is also biodegradable and compostable.
