What is TENCEL™?

TENCEL™ is Lenzing’s version of lyocell, a fibre made from wood pulp. TENCEL™ fabrics are gorgeously soft to touch, and function perfectly for bedding being kind to sensitive skin, colour fast, hypoallergenic, antibacterial and breathable.

Lenzing guarantee that their TENCEL™ fibres are sourced only from FSC and PEFC certified forests, where the wood is harvested sustainably ensuring a long and healthy future for the forests. The pulp is processed into yarn at Lenzing production plants which are run exclusively on renewable energy. A closed-loop process is used so that any substances in production are re-used indefinitely leaving no dirty waste water.

We’ve certified our products using TENCEL™ lyocell by Lenzing so you can rest easy knowing we’ve done all we can to reduce our impact on the environment.

Forest to Fabric

TENCEL™ is a plant-based fibre made from wood pulp from FSC and PEFC certified forests. Lenzing provide traceability right back to source, and even own some of the forests they source from.

The forest is managed to guarantee it will serve biodiversity, local communities, and the forestry industry for the long term. By giving a use to the forest, it will remain in place instead of being destroyed for agriculture or construction to occupy the land in it’s place.

Lenzing ensure that there is zero sourcing from ancient or endangered forests, or conservation areas.
